Follow God!!!
Today is a very special day!!! Thirteen years ago today, I separated from Active Duty Army. It was a joy and pleasure serving my country. The Army was a very pleasant chapter in my life but it was time to transition. When I shared my desire to separate with my leader she told me “you are not gonna make it...you will be back!” Well, God proved her counsel to be a “prophelie” also known as a false prediction of my future. Although, my leader didn’t approve or agree with me. I was pretty confident that God was ordering my steps to transition out of the Army. So, I went with the plan God had for me. Bless her heart she meant well and I understood she wanted to protect me from potential hardship. She gave me counsel based on her personal experience and revelation.
Any who, I just wanted to boast on how good God has been to me. I had a plan to finish college after I separated and become a government employee. I was told “oh you have to know someone” I was like well I do “God”. I prayed and asked God for an open door. Y’all know he did it right. My Army separation date was 1 May 2006 and on 15 May 2006 I started my first day of work as an Army Civilian employee. And, I have been employed every since. God provided every need and shielded me from harm. I would not have made it without him. So, I guess my leader had a point alone I would not have made it but God gave me wisdom to journey through the chapter.
Today, I launched the second portion of my brand Christyleray we have added an online boutique to our brand so we are officially a Style Agency & Online Boutique www.christyleray.com/shop
The takeaway from my journey and experience is to always listen and do what God says. People may not understand or agree with you but you have to trust God over man. The naysayers are not always haters they are good people and they often mean well they are just not led by the Holy Spirit as they you give counsel.
Maybe you are sensing a season of transition and haven’t made any faith moves because those you value the opinion of are not in agreement with you. But, I encourage you to do what God says...go occupy the territory he is showing you...go where he’s leading you...call the people he drops in your spirit. The goal is not to make a name for yourself but to do what God has called you to do. So many people are waiting for you to agree with the plan God has for you. God has given you unique gifts and talents to bless others with. The world needs you to get in position with the will. It’s time to say, “God, send me I’ll go!”
